Hull's Strategic Regeneration Areas

West Hull - NASA: The Newington and St Andrews Regeneration:

 

     
  • 200 empty properties to be demolished
  • 106 detached, semi-detached and terraced properties to be built
  • New homes to be energy-efficient
  • Off-street parking
  • 30 properties to be available to rent
  • 10 properties to be available for shared ownership
  • First properties to be completed this year.
  • The NASA Area Action Plan covering the next 10-15 years is being developed and will be submitted to Government in March 2009.

 

East Hull - Holderness Road Corridor:

 

     
  • 107 energy efficient new homes at Preston Road, Hull
  • Demolition of 260 Preston Road properties east of Holderness Drain - consultation for a new secondary school on the site underway.
  • Environmental improvement to 85 Preston Road area properties planned
  • 260 properties east of Mitcham Road, Hull to be demolished - to be replaced with new, energy-efficient homes for sale, rent, and for shared ownership
  • The Holderness Road Corridor Action plan covering the next 10-15 years is being developed and a "preferred option" will be produced this Spring.  Local residents will then be able to give their views on the plan.
